Mandarin High School Mustang Bands
Gift Wrapping at the Avenues Mall
The Band needs your help!
The Avenues Mall has generously offered us the fundraising opportunity of operating the gift wrapping kiosk in the center of the mall close to the Santa and Christmas display. It is not only a fundraising opportunity but they will sign off on students community service requests as well.
We will need quite a few adults and students to cover this event. We will be operating the booth on Thursday's and Friday' from 6 pm to 9 pm and Saturday and Sunday's from 12 noon to 9 pm. Thursdays and Fridays will consist of one shift of 2 adults and 4 students. Saturday and Sunday will have 3, three hour shifts from 12 noon to 9 pm.
!!! Attention!!!
Now that school is out the mall has become very busy. We are adding afternoon shifts to the schedule beginning Thursday, Dec. 17. As well as the 11 pm to 2 pm hours we need volunteers to keep the booth open from 2 pm to 5 pm when the evening shifts begin.
Please volunteer some time to help the band. This is a good money maker but we need your help to be successful and be invited back next year.
To sign up for days and shifts click here, or the link at the bottom of this segment.
The link will take you to a web page that will list the days and shifts. All you have to do is click one of the "I'll be there" buttons, fill out the information and you are signed up.
This is a new service we are trying out. Because it is new we ask that you also call Laura Eldridge to confirm your volunteer times.
Here is the Link. Gift Wrapping Sign Up.

A Job Well Done
The parents and director of the Mandarin Band are proud of our musicians who participated in the District 17 Honor Band auditions on Tuesday, Nov. 17. It requires diligent practice, self confidence and nerves of steel to audition for such a group. It is no easy task! It is a distinct honor to be chosen to perform with this ensemble and we congratulate those who won their chair in the ensemble.
